There is a reason you’re reading this.

You decided out of all the things on the internet, to read this for some reason, and it’s this reason which actually, you should be grateful for.

The reason you’ll read this post right now is going to be the same reason that in the future, you’ll likely have lived an interesting and experience-filled life.

At this point, you will have had to click on my post title, which didn’t actually tell you what the post was going to be about, so why click on it?

Curiosity.

You were curious. You wanted to know what it’s all about, so you clicked on it and you’re reading it now.

It’s a psychological device which is buried within most of our subconscious minds. If something’s unusual or we don’t know much about it, we want to find out. Something inside our brains keeps making us want to find out more..

We’re addicted to information..

We want to explore, and naturally we want to discover things.

So you’re here, reading this. That’s great, because it means that you’re curious. It means you’re interested in reading something NEW or something other than the usual stuff which is all over the internet, posts with titles like ‘Look at these 10 pictures of cat’ etc.

You know what you’re going to get with those. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a time and place for those. Sometimes all you want to do is just relax and not engage your brain. Look at a load of cat pictures, I get it.

(The following picture of a monkey is only there because I think it’s cute. Couldn’t give the post topic away with the thumbnail now could I?)

Curious baby monkey

Today, you did something different.

By reading this, you’re proving that you’re curious, and you still explore life with a sense of adventure.

You chose to read a post without having a clue what the topic was.. Could have been anything and yet you’re still here almost having read all of it.

I think that’s important, because when you consider that life is made up of experiences and moments – It’s always good to widen your experience. To try something new..

Curiosity has changed the world many times

Think of all the great adventurers, explorers and pioneers. They’ve changed the world, through their curiosity. Their desire to know ‘what if’ and to go beyond what everyone else has done. It’s these people who have changed the world many times over..

Think of the people who discovered countries, species of animal, and the people who tested the limits of what we as humans can do. The game changers.. They were curious and approached life with a sense of excitement and adventure, and that’s exactly what you should be doing.

I’m not saying go out and set the world on fire, but please, keep pushing yourself. Keep trying harder and moving forward.. Moving faster towards what you want.

You owe it to yourself.
